Activities On The Farm

Kid's Day
Kid's Day at the farm has traditionally been held the Saturday before Mother's Day with flowering Mother's Day gifts available and lots of activities for the kids. This year's kid's day is scheduled for May 10, 2008 from 10am to 4pm.
Each child is given a farm coloring book, a magnet and a plant to take home for Mother. Although activities may vary due to weather conditions, they tentatively include pony rides, petting zoo, straw maze, pedal course, paint a pot and additional activities. There is no admission fee, you will only pay for the activities you choose to participate in. Tickets may be purchased for these activities in our greenhouse.
Our greenhouses are open with thousands of flowering Mother's Day gifts as well as our everyday selection of annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs and hanging baskets.

Fall Festival
The highlight of the year is our annual Fall Festival. Held on Saturday and Sunday of Columbus Day weekend, October 11 & 12, 2008, the festival proves to be an exciting adventure for all with something for everyone!
On both Saturday and Sunday, hayrides to the pick your own pumpkin field and all activities start at 10:00 am and end by 5:00 pm. Activities include pony rides, petting zoo, corn maze, straw maze, pedal course, face painting, sand art, candy art, games, inflatable moon bounce, vendors, food, crafters and more. Tickets may be purchased for these activities at our ticket booth.
Country music by Nashville Attitude sets the tone for an enjoyable afternoon along with our other free activities including goat milking demonstrations, clown shows, straw jump, activity tent contests, and a visit with our special costumed guest. Free crafts for the kids can also be done at the Activity Tent. Antique farm tractors and equipment are on display. The Middlesex County Sheriff's Department is usually available to fingerprint children, and often brings a member of their canine unit along for the weekend. The South Brunswick S.A.F.E. program is there to educate children about drugs. The Middlesex County Improvement Authority brings McBlue (their talking robot) to the farm to enhance it's recycling program. Make sure to visit Peter the Talking Pumpkin and our Ag Center, both educational stops as you tour the farm. Door prizes are also given throughout the day.
Our farm market is opened throughout the weekend. Delicious farm fruit pies, apple cider, candy apples, jams, jellies, and assorted baked goods are also available in the market.
Admission is charged this weekend only.

The MAiZE
Be sure to visit the new, interactive, 5+ acre Corn MAiZE we’ve added to this year's annual fall line-up! We have teamed up with a professional Corn Maze company from Utah to help bring our annual Corn Maze to an exciting new level. We hope to challenge the wits of those seeking to find the one exit from their mind-boggling puzzle -- a unique source of good farmin' fun for adults and children alike. Though the correct pathway can be walked in only 15 minutes, most wandering maze-goers will require about one hour to travel through more than three miles of twists, turns and decision points. The maze is designed in the shape of the New Jersey Farmers Against Hunger Program Logo, and will benefit that organization. The MAiZE opens for the season on September 27.
