By the end of April our 15,000 square foot greenhouses are bursting with color and are filled with thousands of annuals, perennials, vegetables and hanging baskets. By May 1st the greenhouses are opened daily, Monday to Friday 10:00 to 6:30, and Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 to 6:00.
      Our greenhouses are full of not only old family favorites but also lots of new and exciting varieties. We also grow dozens of herbs and the newest and hottest trends for your vegetable and flower gardens. Each weekend through May we have a potting table where one of our employees will design and pot a combination of plants you have chosen in a container of your choice. Bring your own container or choose one of ours.
      Old family favorites dominate the annual section of our greenhouses. Most annuals are grown in every available color and are offered throughout the season.
      Perennials have increasingly gained popularity over the years and continue to be a favorite among avid gardeners. Perennials are best planted in spring or fall and will increase in size and bloom for years to come. When a perennial appears to die in the fall, it's root system goes dormant until the first hint of spring, when it emerges from the soil ready to bloom again. Although there are thousands of perennial varieties we have chosen those varieties we consider to be the most popular, dramatic, and hardy for this area.
       Our line of vegetable plants consists of almost every vegetable that can be grown in this area. Numerous common and exotic varieties are offered, as well as some of the commercial varieties that we ourselves use here on the farm. Our selection of patio vegetables are always a favorite among our customers.
      With our thousands of colorful hanging baskets everyone is sure to find what they are looking for. The hanging baskets are in a variety of sizes and containers, from our simple impatien baskets to our more complex combination baskets filled with scaevola, bacopa, millionbelle petunias, and cascading verbena.
      Our various greenhouse crops are sold both retail and wholesale. We welcome landscapers and school fundraising groups. Early orders can be customized and grown to your preference. Homegrown hardy field mums are available beginning in September for both our retail and wholesale customers.
      Kid's Day at the farm has traditionally been held the Saturday before Mother's Day with flowering Mother's Day gifts available and lots of activities for the kids. This year additional Kid's Days will also be offered on the two consecutive Sundays after Mother's Day.
