VonThun Farms school tours are a great way to educate your students about farming, food, and the environment.

Spring and Fall Farm Tour programs vary slightly from season to season. Spring Tours last about 1-1/2 hours, Fall Tours last about one hour. To lengthen your stay at the farm, consider adding one of our additional packages to our basic tour.
Educational, informative — and farm fresh fun!
The details: Tour reservations should be made well in advance, as many of our most popular tour times fill quickly. Accommodations are available for both small and large groups. Picnic areas are available, but reservations are needed. Activity Packages can be added to the basic tour for an additional fee. To make an online-reservation, click here.
Spring Farm Tours
When: Monday through Friday at scheduled times
from late April through early July
Students are given a tractor drawn hayride around our 90-acre working farm. We stop along the way and give a series of educational talks about the farm and our many crops that are growing. The students get to meet our friendly farm animals and learn about each of them, including our current ‘crop’ of new baby goats and lambs. A tour of our 15,000 square foot greenhouse facilities is enjoyed by all while they learn about planting techniques and our greenhouse technology. You can add our Goat Milking Demonstration to any of our Spring packages to complete your farm experience.
Perks: Students, teachers, and chaparones receive a plant to pot and take home, a refrigerator magnet, and a farm coloring book.

Fall Farm Tours
When: Monday through Wednesday, and Fridays, at scheduled times throughout September and October
Students are given a tractor drawn hayride around our 90-acre working farm. We stop along the way and give a series of educational talks about the farm and our many growing crops. The students get to meet our many friendly farm animals and learn about each of them. We add pumpkin picking — for all visitors to hustle to find that perfect pumpkin to call their own. You can add Apple Picking to any of our Fall packages to complete your farm experience.
Perks: Students, teachers and chaparones pick a Sugar Pumpkin to take home, receive a refrigerator magnet, and a farm coloring book.
