Spring Farm Tours
When: Monday through Friday at scheduled times
from late April through early July
On our TRADITIONAL SPRING FARM TOUR, students are given a tractor drawn hayride around our 90-acre working farm. We stop along the way and give a series of educational talks about the farm and our many crops that are growing. The students get to meet our friendly farm animals and learn about each of them, including our current ‘crop’ of new baby goats and lambs. A tour of our 15,000 square foot greenhouse facilities is enjoyed by all while they learn about planting techniques and our greenhouse technology. Spring tours last about 1-1/2 hours.
Each student, teachers and chaperone will receive a plant to pot and take home, a refrigerator magnet, and a farm coloring book.
We have a few neat activities, including goat milking demonstrations, that you can add to your Traditional Spring Farm Tour.
